Monday. Sixth Day of the Seventh Month.
Sariella eyed her Blood Knight insignia as she lay on her bed, preparing to sleep. She had been waiting all day for Soraya to report, but nothing. A fleck of worry swam around her thoughts. She knew Soraya was capable. Smart. But it was unusual for her to go so long without reporting in. With a sigh, her head hit the pillow as she lay in their bed, her hand outstretching to lay the insignia on the bedside locker.
Tomorrow, she told herself. Tomorrow, she'd try to track Soraya down if she didn't report.
